Originally from Jackson, TN, Matt holds a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Belmont University. Matt then went on to serve as a Captain in the U.S. Army.
Matt moved to Knoxville in 2021 to attend the University of Tennessee College of Law, where he graduated with honors in 2024. During law school, Matt exhibited exemplary dedication to pro bono work, receiving the highest level of recognition for his efforts by being awarded Gold Level Pro Bono status. He also served as an integral member of the editorial board for Transactions: The Tennessee Journal of Business law. He was also a proud member of Vols for Vets. When he is not hard at work in the office, he can often be found leading his team to victory in various charity golf tournaments.
After two clerkships with the firm during law school, Matt joined as an associate in 2024. He has a broad practice including healthcare regulation, general business consulting and transactions, as well as real estate acquisition, employment law, and general litigation. With a passion for providing legal expertise, Matt brings dedication and attention to detail to every case he handles.
Matt currently resides in South Knoxville, where he enjoys fishing, cheering on the Tennessee Volunteers, and spending time with his wife and their three dogs.
