Marc Upchurch

Marc Upchurch serves as the Executive Director at Kramer Rayson LLP. He has been in Business Management and Finance since 1983. Marc is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA), a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), a Society of Human Resources Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), and a Certified Legal Manager (CLM).

EDUCATION

Marc graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1983 with a BS in Business Administration. Marc earned his CPA license in 1985, was certified as a CLM in 2003, a SPHR in 2011, a CGMA in 2012 and a SHRM-SCP in 2013.

PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATIONS & MEMBERSHIPS

Marc is a member of the Knoxville Chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators (KALA), Tennessee Society of CPAs (TSCPA), the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), the Tennessee Valley Human Resources Association (TVHRA) and the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM). Marc is active and has served in numerous capacities within the local and international associations of legal administrators, including two terms on the Board of Directors of the International Association of Legal Administrators.

CIVIC & COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

Marc currently serves as the Treasurer for the TVHRA and Secretary for the KALA. Marc serves as an elder at the Hardin Valley Church of Christ and has served on several local boards throughout his career.

PAST EMPLOYMENT POSITIONS

Prior to joining Kramer Rayson, he held executive management positions ranging from Chief Financial Officer to President with various private companies for 10 years after spending 7 years in the general practice group at the Knoxville office of PriceWaterhouseCoopers.
